We’re looking for a skilled plumber. Not someone who’s “been around plumbing”. If you can’t confidently walk into a home, diagnose the issue, quote the homeowner, and complete the repair cleanly without someone holding your hand, this isn’t the job for you. If that does describe you, keep reading.

What You’ll Be Doing

Day to day, you’ll be running residential service calls across McKinney and surrounding areas, handling jobs like:

  • Water heater installs, repairs, and replacements (tank and tankless)
  • Hose bib repair and replacement
  • Drain stoppages and clearing
  • PRV (pressure reducing valve) diagnosis and replacement
  • Leak detection and repair
  • Fixture installs (faucets, toilets, sinks, garbage disposals, etc.)
  • Gas tests and basic gas work
  • Talking with homeowners, explaining what’s wrong, what the fix is, and what it’ll cost

What We Require (Non-Negotiable)

This is where most applicants stop reading. Please don’t apply if you can’t honestly check every box:

  • Licensed plumber or journeyman: Current and valid in Texas
  • You can run a call independently: Be able to diagnose, repair, and close out without calling the office every 20 minutes
  • You actually know your trade: Water heaters, PRVs, gas work, fixture installs, drain work. If any of these make you nervous, we’re not the right fit
  • Clean, organized workmanship: The kind where the homeowner notices how tidy you left the job site
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

What We’re Looking For in a Person

The technical skills get you in the door. These keep you here:

  • You speak to homeowners like a professional, clear, respectful, no jargon dumps
  • You can explain what you’re doing and why, and make solid recommendations without overselling
  • You show up presentable: clean uniform, clean truck, clean hands when you can manage it
  • You communicate. If you’re running late, the customer knows. If something changes on the job, the office knows
  • You take pride in your work and don’t cut corners when nobody’s watching
